Born in Izmir, Turkey. Abandoned in a taxi cab as a child, brought to an orphanage, returned to her birth family, and then abandoned a second time. Adopted by an American family and brought to the States at six. Single mother for five years — building herself quietly, without asking for recognition. The crisis hotlines. The emergency rooms. The group homes. She has sat with people in their worst moments and helped them find the way back.

That is not a credential. That is a calling. And it is why — when she teaches what holds a marriage together — she is not guessing. She knows the architecture of collapse and the architecture of repair, and she knows them in equal measure.
